Mammoth Lakes Record Snowfall is Boosting Real Estate Demand

Record setting January Snowfall in Mammoth Lakes has many snow sport enthusiasts catching “Mammoth Fever”.  After almost 6 years of drought and largely disappointing winters the 2016/2017 has been epic and certainly one to be remembered for years to come.  In January alone Mammoth Lakes received a record 20.5 feet of snow and over 29 feet of snow since the snow season began.  The abundance of snow is creating a real buzz to buy vacation homes in Mammoth.  Many properties are starting to see multiple offers and sell quickly if priced attractively.  The good news is that Mammoth prices are still well below the 2007 peak however have been increasing steadily the past few years and we are likely to see solid pricing gains in 2017.  There are still plenty of great opportunities for serious buyers (both on and off market listings).
